When it began

Every company starts small, as a young guy Jano devos went from door to door to get some scraps with his wheelbarrow, the people gave their waste to him, he brought it to a scrap dealer a little further in the street. When he was 18 he applied for a VAT number and went togehter with his father lookig for scraps. Fast he discovered his van was way too small and changed it for a truck.

The first growth spurt

In the Mesenstraat all the scraps were stored and sold. After several years of trading there, it quickly became apparent that the yard was way too small and he bought an industrial terrain in the neighbour city Comines. It turns out to be a good investment, the company grew even more handled more scraps a day. Some old cranes were set up and reworked.

Future-oriented investments

The time had come to invest, the old crane was replaced by a new one. We bought a press to create better scraps and to meet to the demand of the enterprises. The trucks became bigger and every day we were able to process more scraps.

Devos Metal Recycling Today

In 2014 Jano Devos had decided to change is sole propiertorship to a private limited company with as goal to invest more and process more scrap some day.

Today, there is surely a quick 20 tonnes each day, we sort out the metals, cut the heavy iron for the factory and light iron is processed in a correct way to get nice materials.
